Techplus are currently looking for a Planner for a permanent position based in East Anglia.

Your key responsibilities will be to ensure Planning, Scheduling and overall resource best practices are applied across all tenders & projects, with high level of details, accuracy and precision, consistency and auditability, to enhance projects status visibility and enable pro-active management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and manage the Planning system structure for Programmes / Projects
  • Establish, manage and update Overall Master Schedules
  • Establish, manage and update tendering schedules and Programmes / Project schedules
  • In conjunction with Project Teams and supporting departments, develop WBS & baseline schedules
  • Ensure all Changes/Variations are captured in the plan and the impact evaluated, proposing alternative/corrective solutions
  • Liaise with Clients/Subcontractors/Vendors to ensure full compliance and control of the overall integrated project schedule
  • Develop, maintain and manage Projects specific planning, scheduling, reporting processes and procedures, ensuring their application
  • Prepare regular internal and external project reports for management
  • Provide manpower & key resource (vessels) analysis and trends for forecasting, assessing resources availability
  • Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members
  • Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team
  • Measure, control and report project progress highlighting any issues or areas of concern
  • Participate in the risk evaluation process and perform schedule risk analysis
  • Develop planning outputs and reports
  • Preparation of close-out reports and create/maintain historical database, improving quality of feedback to tender/project
  • Other relevant duties/tasks assigned by the Head of Planning and Cost Control
  • Chair planning review sessions

Training / Qualifications / Experience

Required

  • 5 years in the Renewable and Oil & Gas industry.
  • Specific training courses related to Project Management, Planning and relevant tools
  • Proficient user of Primavera and MS-Project, good knowledge of Excel; experience with ERPs

 Advantageous

  • APM Certification
  • Degree (Business Administration/Finance/Engineering Experience)
