CONTROLS ENGINEERS - OFFSHORE OIL & GAS *

We require 2x controls engineers with commissioning experience mainly focused on SCAME Fire and Gas Systems, Factory Talk SE and Studio 5000 products.

This will be on a Ltd Company or PAYE basis
The commissioning activities would be to provide loop checks, logic and graphic modification where necessary and dynamic commissioning for ESD/ PCS/ F&G.

Mobilisation is required immediately and lasting a minimum of 3 months, with a possible 2 month extension. Activities are based offshore therefore current offshore certs will be required, and in doing so it shall be a 2:2 rotation with some office time as required.

Techplus are currently looking for Mechanical Techs for an Onshore Project commencing onshore in North Yorkshire,
in late Feb / March.

Duration will be approx 5 Months

Responsibilities:
- Operation and monitoring of a pump and cooler package
- Data recording of system outputs
- Maintenance of equipment
- Fault diagnosis and rectification of System
- Supervision of site when required
- Complete and control all necessary documentation around activities
- Achieve all activities in line with company regulations & H&S guidelines
- Planned preventative maintenance

Key Skills :
- City & Guilds/ONC in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Time served Mechanical / Electrical Engineer
- 5 years + relevant experience post apprenticeship
- Good working knowledge of mechanical reciprocating pump systems & control systems
- Fault finding diagnostics
- Experience of site supervision
- Oil & Gas offshore experience desirable

I am currently looking for Senior Commissioning Engineers who are I&C biased.
This is for a full-time position at Hinkley Point C, Nuclear Power Station.

The Senior Commissioning Engineer – Operational I&C Systems will be a member of one of the five I&C Commissioning Delivery teams, reporting to an I&C Commissioning Manager. This team’s scope covers the centralised operational I&C system, based on the Siemens SPPA-T2000 platform.

Candidates must have:
•   A technical qualification (Degree preferred) in a relevant discipline
•   Strong engineering background with experience of working with Siemens SPPA-T2000 systems
•   Enthusiastic and keen to share knowledge with junior colleagues
•   Able to challenge and to accept challenge in a positive manner
•   Comfortable in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
•   Understands the need for technical and administrative rigour in the nuclear industry and always works to maintain safety and quality
•   Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop and maintain relationships both internally and with external partners

Desirable
•   Specific knowledge of Siemens S7 platform
•   SPPA-T2000 administrator experience along with ability to obtain Security Check clearance
•   Commissioning experience on an EPR nuclear new build project
•   Good understanding of site work in a complex new build or upgrade environment (procedures, commissioning, operations, maintenance)
•   Experience of leading a technical team
